BJ Choudre
Contemporary artist BJ Choudrē blends textiles with objects creating sculptures that explore the relationship between the masculine and feminine. As disparate elements become clarified through personal and collective voices, then distilled into ‘Sculptural Chapters’ that leave a tribute to the outposts of our culture.
The SanityRag series challenges menstruation taboos in the South Asian community and seeks understanding from others. It opens discussions on personal, economic, political, and social equality, addressing fundamental questions about gender roles in society, the world and beyond.
